This is a day where the world can be an Optimist themselves in action\, plus join us in honoring Optimist Clubs and Members in their communities and worldwide for all they do year-round to promote efforts in bringing out the best in youth\, our communities\, and ourselves. \nOptimist International Clubs and Members celebrate Optimist Day to promote their efforts and bring awareness to their community on how they are making a difference in the youth. They do this by wearing something with the Optimist logo and/or hosting events to celebrate the annual day. Optimist Clubs may choose a location and distribute copies of the Optimist Creed so others may choose optimism for themselves. \n  \nHow Communities Celebrate Optimist Day: \nIn addition to our Clubs and Members celebrating Optimist day\, many local governments routinely issue Proclamations in honor of Optimist Day so that their communities can look to the future with hope. On Optimist Day\, they can celebrate the volunteers who share their enthusiasm\, skills\, and talent to make that tomorrow a vibrant and peaceful one. \nHow can you honor and celebrate Optimsit day: \nAnyone can celebrate Optimist Day by volunteering in the community\, teaming up with their local Optimist Club\, doing something that brings out optimism in themselves or others\, and by awareness about Optimist Day and the Optimist International Organization to friends and loved ones on Optimist Day.

LOUIS\, MO – The Optimist Club of St. Louis MO\, is sponsoring community efforts through funds and volunteers\, along with Wesley House Association & Youth and Family Center to help benefit the children of St. Louis MO. \n\n\nChristmas food baskets will consist of enough fixings needed to provide full course meals for families this holiday season. The Christmas Food Basket comes complete with bread\, potatoes\, fruit (apples & oranges)\, gravy\, canned goods (peas\, green beans\, and either canned yams or corn)\, plus a $15 Schnucks gift card. \n\n\nThe Optimist Club of St. Louis invites the community to come volunteer in support of this effort on December 1o\, 2022\, at Wesley House Association\, Location: 4507 Lee Ave St. Louis\, MO 63115.\n\nThere are two shifts available from 9:00 am – 11:00am and 11:00am – 1:00 pm to volunteer.\nVolunteer sign up coming soon!\nThis is a great opportunity for any youth in need of community service hours to graduate. Club Members will be on hand to fill out and sign any volunteer forms.
